Youth & Community
Empowering young people through meaningful opportunities in agriculture, craft and fibre design.
Growing the Next Generation
At Bahati Artisan Fibre Co., we believe that good fortune grows when it’s shared, especially with those who will shape the future of our fibre, textile and agricultural industries. That’s why we invest deeply in opportunities for young people to learn, explore and build meaningful careers rooted in land, craft and community.
Our youth programmes are not add-ons. They are a core part of who we are and why we exist.
From textile design and animal care to fibre science and farm stewardship, we create spaces where curiosity becomes skill and skill becomes purpose.
Agricultural Internship Programme
Our 12-month agricultural internship, run in collaboration with Potchefstroom Agriculture College, offers young aspiring farmers the opportunity to work directly on our land.
Under the guidance of our farm manager and in-house veterinarian, interns gain hands-on experience in:
Ethical animal care
Land management
Fibre production
Sustainable farming practices
Ethical animal care
Daily operations of a working natural fibre farm
This is learning rooted in the rhythm of real work: sunlight, seasons, soil and responsibility of caring for something beyond oneself.
Community Impact Stories
Bahati is powered by people: farmers, artisans, students, interns, families and local partners who share our vision of ethical fibre and meaningful craft.
We’re committed to creating opportunities that uplift:
These are more than initiatives. They are relationships and they are a vital part of the good fortune we weave.
